Couch Commerce for Online Retailers?

What is this couch commerce? Couch Commerce is nothing but purchases made using Tablets. it is also called “ C Commerce, T commerce i.e. Tablet Commerce” like, we all  know about fCommerce (Facebook Commerce),mCommerce (Mobile Commerce) ,eCommerce (electronic Commerce), it is just a new word in this alphabet soup. The trend is picking up for C-Commerce . According to Equation Research for Zmags, 70% of tablet usage is at home – specifically, either on the couch or in bed.

Another study shows that tablet users are more likely to shop online than smartphone owners. This may be a good news for online retailers as they are getting a competitively bigger screen to show their products and related features. There is no other option for online retailers but to add one more sales channel i.e. enable your online presence on Tablets.  The traditional channel of sales through desktop, laptop etc. is going to be there, but while people relax on a couch and would like to do shopping they prefer tablets over any other device.

For Online Retailers, it is very important to tap this channel by providing nice pictures , graphics and overall nice user experience to the end customer.

Technology advances every next minute and it’s all because of the need of simplifying our lives. When there is a tablet for shopping, why not shopping on TV. It will be a blend of  TV and ecommerce. Right now Yahoo, Google and Samsung are putting big money behind this concept.
